It has already started with the release of Microsoft’s Xbox 360. But you know what is really sad – the day after Thanksgiving. Stores will open in the wee early hours of the morning and crazy people will get up (on their day off from work) and line up to be the first in the door. The really INSANE people will spend the night in the mall or store parking lot.
WAKE UP PEOPLE. What in the world have you been doing the rest of the year? You have had since the Dec. 26th of the previous year to buy all that unnecessary crap that you call presents. Isn’t that enough time? NO!!!!! You have to wait until the day after Thanksgiving to start shopping.
I’m the poor guy whose child will get sick and need medication and I will have to stand in this absurd line behind idiots with cart loads of junk just so I can pay for a bottle of children’s aspirin. And very few will have the common courtesy to offer to allow me to go ahead of them so I can conduct this single transaction with cash.
And what makes it worse is that these “Holiday Shoppers” are not happy about what they are doing. They are grumbling and the lines and about how rude the other shoppers are.
Then the final straw comes when I finally get to the cashier. What a treat! No greeting. No smile. I am lucky if they say anything, much less thank you. If they do speak, most of the time I can’t understand them, because I am a loser and only learned to speak English.
Go figure. Happy shopping – you bunch of losers.
